MY STORY
HOW I GOT HERE
For years I worked as a psychotherapist before becoming a professional life and leadership coach. Prior to becoming a coach, I was living a beautiful life. I was married to a loving man, raising a healthy daughter, living in a lovely home, enjoying a wonderful community of friends, and engaging in meaningful service work, but something was off and I couldn’t shake a feeling of unfulfillment. Looking back, I see I was in a life crisis and knew something needed to change. In 2004, in a moment of clarity I decided to pursue a master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. Learning about and using the principles and practices of spiritual psychology was the beginning of a significant transformation. I began to see a profound yet often overlooked truth: as a woman I was conditioned to prioritize the needs of others above my own. It got ingrained in me at an early age — be nurturing, be selfless, be accommodating.
While these qualities are undoubtedly beautiful and admirable, they led to a quiet erosion of my own sense of fulfillment and purpose. I found myself feeling hollow, as though something vital was missing. I began working with two coaches and they helped transform my life by empowering me to rewrite that narrative. Through introspection and guidance, I learned to embrace my self-worth and prioritize my own needs. The coaching I received illuminated the path to self-discovery and empowered me to lead with compassion, strength, and authenticity in all aspects of my life. Today, I'm delighted to say, I'm married to the same wonderful man, witnessing my daughter mature into a young woman, growing my coaching practice and living a beautiful, fulfilling life in Los Angeles.
